Night Light
A screaming angel
streaks across a black sky.
Bold high dive,
leapt from the blank
perfection of heaven.

Descendants
Sun shines through the bars
And stripes cast sideways red
Blue field overhead
Cows dance like crystal stars
Crows black angry skies
Mice play pens on paper
Daily bread gives no substance
Sustenance is a myth like no other
Currents rut veins of gold
Powdered like buckwheat
Flowers in the acid rain
Red poppies and blue bloods
White sheets among the threes
Trust no one over
Father, son and missing mother
Written in stone, bitten in bark
Scarred in bone and crossed
Like two wet sticks
That strike no spark
Give us a sign they say
Are you blind they holler back
Arrows point like missiles
In every direction
Machines have eaten our senses
Beaten the daylights
Out of deserts and oceans
Even the moon cannot
Echo the sun’s cries
In pitch black vacuum
